Question Authority.

Do you want personal sovereignty? Before you say "Yes", I'll bet that you really don't. Most people don't, even though they say they do. Now, you may consider yourself an exception, but I doubt that you are.

Naturally, most everyone considers themselves exceptional. But, obviously, they are not. And since 99% of people are stupid or ignorant, or both, the overwhelming chances are that you, yourself, are not exceptional, that in fact you are stupid or ignorant, or both. Just as are most everyone else.

Chances are you are Christian, Muslim, religious Jew, Hindu, or some other religion. You believe in a "God". In that belief, you are no different than some aborigine praying for a good hunt. Yes, you have a cell phone and you do your hunting at Safeway (or whatever they call themselves nowadays), but you are mentally just as primitive and tribal group-think bound as some spear-chucker.

A simple question: You do not really know that there is a "God". Has he, she, or it (heshit) appeared to you personally? No, that means that you just accept on faith that there is a "God". You are taking the word of a gaggle of delusional schizos and power-hungry charlatans.

Have YOU ever questioned the basis of your religion, not to mention its teachings? Probably not? How come? How come you have not questioned authority?

You were born atheist. Then you were indoctrinated into the religion of your parents and/or community. How come you are not now a "born-again" atheist? How come if you were indoctrinated into Christianity, you are are likely still a Christian, rather than switching to Islam or Judaism? How come if you were indoctrinated into Islam, you are are likely still a Muslim, rather than switching to Judaism or Christianity?

The simple answer is that you do not "Question Authority". Grow up!

Soldiers Suing Government for Breach of Contract

Well, I guess not, but would that it would be true.

Here is an idea that I hope will help us get the U.S. out of the mid-east.

When someone signs up for the armed forces, does he have some sort of contract? Has he signed himself into slavery, where his masters can do anything they want to him and with him? Or are there some sort of bounds?

My commonsense view (which is admittedly unlikely to be the legal or political view of the U.S. Government) is that the servicemen signed up to protect the United States from aggression, NOT TO ENGAGE IN ILL-ADVISED AND ILLEGAL OFFENSIVE ACTIONS IN OTHER COUNTRIES (KUWAIT/IRAQ/IRAN), NOR TO ACT AS ARMED RED CROSS MISSIONARIES (SOMALIA).

Would it be possible for some serviceman who has been sent to one of those places against his will to sue the U.S. government for breach of contract? Would it be possible for a serviceman to desert or refuse to go, and sue the government for coercion in the absence of a valid contract clause? Would it be possible for a serviceman to sue the government for injuries or disease or other disabilities contracted while coerced into such illegimate actions?

Would it be possible for the families or heirs of servicemen killed in such actions to sue the government for wrongful death?

I would sure hope so. But I'm not holding my breath.

Jury Duty -- YOU Are the Judge

If you are serving on a jury, you do NOT have to follow the prosecutor's or the judge's instructions. YOU are the judge; the judge is (should be) merely a "referee".

As this country becomes more and more fascist, there are more and more laws that are stupid, immoral, and just interfering with people's freedoms just for the hell of it, by your rulers.

Just because a defendant broke some stupid law, DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE TO FIND THE DEFENDANT GUILTY! As a juror, you are the judge of both the law and the circumstances. You can vote the defendant NOT GUILTY, regardless of what the law says, or what the judge or prosecutor says.

The government, in a witch hunt, to show they were doing "something", nailed her ass. That took the spotlight off the really big crooks of that time.

The major thing they nailed her for was "lying to government agents" during investigations and pre-trial hearings. She should have just SHUT UP.

Cell Phone Companies Violating Your Privacy

Cell phone companies -- all in the name of the god "profits" are selling your privacy down the tubes. Sometime in mid-2005, or so, a national directory of cell phone numbers is to be published. Telemarketers, stalkers, etc., will have access to your cell phone number.

You can, FWIW, supposedly get on a "Do Not Call List" (Do-Not-Call List) by calling 888-382-1222 from your cell phone and following the prompts. You will supposedly be listed on the Do Not Call List for five years.

An old saying, never more true than today, is that "the Law is an ass." To get people and companies to respect your privacy, independence, and freedom, forget about resort to law. The only solution is direct action, such as various clandestine government agencies use.
